Leftwing & Kody
Set for world domination, ABODE London’s biggest Sunday party returns for a 2nd season in Ibiza to take over the coveted Sunday Sankeys spot that has previously been host to Steve Lawler’s Viva Warriors. Not easy shoes to fill but ABODE have garnered a reputation as serious promoters that throw serious parties. Having sold out the Printworks in London and Studio 338 (twice) in less than 30 minutes Sundays at Sankeys look set to be one of the biggest parties on the Island.
With a combination of residents that would fill parties buy themselves, we will no doubt see the return of Artikal, Ellie Cocks, GW Harrison, Jimmy Switch and new duo DEVSTAR and Jack Swift alongside a huge list of special guests queuing up to play.
Sankeys Ibiza is the sister of the legendary flagship club in Manchester that has contributed immensely to UK club culture. Opened in 2011, the club has gone from strength to strength, building up a strong base of residents with the likes of Darius Syrossian, Steve Lawler, Duke Dumont, Amine Edge & DANCE, Greg Vickers, Sidney Charles and Hector Couto just to name a few.
Situated in Playa D’en Bossa, the club is open seven nights per week catering to many styles of house and techno, housed under a 3000 capacity, four-roomed venue consisting of The Basement, The Lab, Spektrum and The Boutique.
The heart of Sankeys, The Basement in Ibiza is designed to look almost exactly the same as its Mancunian counterpart to give it that “home away from home” feeling for the British clubbers and also to give that authentic Sankeys Manchester clubbing feel to anyone who hasn’t experienced the parent club yet. With a low ceiling, state of the art LED lighting and an ever so powerful Void sound system expect a high octane clubbing experience unlike any club in Ibiza.
Based off the legendary Mancunian club The Haçienda, The Lab could be seen as the polar opposite to The Basement. With high ceilings, this room gives an amazing warehouse feel, best suited to the techno DJs that Tribal Sessions has been booking over the summer.
Spektrum is another room based off the Manchester club. A small room with a boutique view gives you a more intimate feel, topped with ceiling lights inspired by Berlin’s Watergate which gives the room a feeling of colour and warmth. Don’t expect this room to be reserved for the smaller DJs; we’ve had Len Faki play in this room!
