Flower Power By DJ Piti
“Flower Power is a classic party that celebrates the spirit of the ‘60s hippy era and the promoter and DJ is Piti, who also happens to be [Pacha boss] Ricardo Urgell’s brother. Flower Power started 40 years ago so it has a very special heritage at the club and on the island. It’s also a celebrity haunt, with everyone from Prince William to Mick Jagger and Claudia Schiffer making an appearance in the past few seasons. Music-wise, it’s not house driven – it’s rock, disco and retro music all the way and everybody gets dressed up. It’s a very hippy atmosphere and also brilliantly tongue-in-cheek.
Danny Whittle Pacha Magazine
The first Pacha opened in the beach town of Sitges in 1967. Six years later, in 1973 during the hippy movement, Pacha arrived in Ibiza. Since then the brand has been constantly developing together with time, fashion and trends, and bringing new ideas, improvements and all kind of extravagances to the night scene; although always maintaining its singularity, its particular style and spirit. Four decades after its first opening in Sitges, Pacha has successfully established in many different countries all over the world: Brazil, United States, Russia, Germany, England, Egypt, Portugal, Austria and in the most important Spanish cities like Madrid, Valencia, Bilbao, and soon in many other interesting places in the planet.
