A special treat for real electronic music lovers, Space Ibiza hosts a unique party for those who appreciate alternative artists bubbling just under the surface, pushing the boundaries of sound and creating works really worth watching.
Whomho, an exclusive one-off event at Space Ibiza on Tuesday 25 September, has a line-up consisting of some of the most in-demand young and talented DJs and producers today that are definitely doing their own thing and flying the flag of freaky, cool style. With an undeniable north American vibe, we have NICOLAS JAAR (live), BENOIT & SERGIO, SOUL CLAP, TANNER ROSS, REMO and OSCAR CANO ready to take the Terrace by force and judging by recent acclaim from these guys’ peers, the whole industry will be out in full support to back this event.
Nicolas Jaar is only 22 but started making music when he was just 14, with his debut track on Wolf + Lamb records at 17. Determined to create his own path, on his nineteenth birthday he founded the label Clown & Sunset, which became an outlet for his most honest and challenging work.
Over the last few years he has been extremely busy with various projects including the completion of his first album, Space is Only Noise, followed by the mysterious and haunting masterpiece “Don’t Break My Love”, a slow sliding track falling rhythmically inside and around the mechanics of pure, deep emotion. With a vision well beyond his years and an ability to embrace, connect and educate the audience wherever he goes, this live set is going to be memorable.
Benoit & Sergio describe their style as genre-free and hence prefer to stay outside any musical brackets, drawing their influences from the likes of Roxy Music as much as electronic contemporaries. They say they don’t just make music – they tell stories, and if their dark, wandering tales are anything to go by, prepare yourself for an interesting journey that’s full of imagery. An unpredictable essence but consistently amazing, these guys will open your ears.
Soul Clap and their well-known Wolf + Lamb partner in crime Tanner Ross will also be taking over the decks at this one-off event. Never afraid to express themselves, the EFUNK crew – everybody’s freaky under nature’s kingdom – go beyond the realms of anything you’ve seen before and while we can’t predict what they’ll do, we know it’s all going to be good.
See you there.
