Barely 22 years, André Hommen has already devoted almost half of his life to music.
At the age of 14, he began to spin records on private parties and earned lots of respect from all his friends. From that time, he committed himself to electronic music. Active as DJ and evidently, passive, as thrilled party animal.
Musical idols like Depeche Mode, but also cultic radio shows like 1live Treibhaus and 1 Live Partyservice formed his youth. Music not only accompanied his way, music was and is his way.
Today, mature and innovative Deep- and Tech House are his speciality. He fascinates and thrills the masses everywhere he plays - and indeed, the word masses just hits the mark! André performed at the after show event of Norderney's surf world cup, at Bochums Musiksommer Festival and last but not least at 1Live's huge Love Parade Party. End of March, he played his US-debut at the legendary WMC in Miami.
At home, in Germany's North Rhine Westphalia, André loves to honour all the local clubs with his electrifying sound. Always with great success! During the last couple of months, he played numerous gigs at the Versteck in Dortmund and many more.
Moreover, the year 2009 will be the year of André's very own productions: he spent some time in studio and just finished his first own tracks. His debut single, named "Marashi", was produced together with 8bit label boss Gorge. The promising record was released in beginning of March on Objektivity and is being played by Nick Curly, Dennis Ferrer and Berghain's Ben Klock. His follow-up is a bit deeper and will be released on Mannheim's Plastic City in the first week of June.
As it seems, this young man has many talents. Along the way, he also works as Digital Media Master for Dennis Ferrer's New Yorker label Objectivity, attending artists like The Martinez Brothers, Loco Dice, Henrik Schwarz, Argy, Karizma and many other recommended DJs and producers.
This young fellow has just begun is way to the top of the mountain. Stay tuned!
