One could say it really all started when Arian first heard the sounds produced by a Boss delay triggered into a 707. At age 17, he and some friends started a DJ sound and lighting business. Their group became well known in Los Angeles, and Arian ended up designing sound systems for prominent local nightclubs like Truth. Arian heard house music for the first time in 1986 when a friend gave him a tape of acid house. From that point on, he was hooked on the house/techno sound.

Arian was introduced to his music partner, John Tejada, in 1991, when he went to see a mutual friend to discuss music. Little did they know that this chance meeting would be the starting point for their 18-year collaboration, with the duo producing music released on Palette, Moods & Grooves, Playhouse, 7th City, and other prominent techno music labels over the years. Arian draws inspiration from artists such as Juan Atkins, Mantronix and the rest of the Techno and Hip Hop movement. His focus on heavy funk and jazz-infused melodies and complex chords helps define his and John's distinctive sound.
