Toronto Canada's Arthur Oskan is known for his powerfully resonating dance floor releases. While much of his music is known for its intricate, driving, melodic, and moody undertones, his more recent stripped-down tracks created under his Myers Briggs alias expose a more minimal side of his musical repertoire.
Representing his stylistic range, Oskan's productions have been released on a variety of labels including Beretta Music, Restructured, Secret Weapon, Cratesavers, and Matrix Records. In 2006, under his then newer nom de plum, Myers Briggs, Oskan performed a memorable live set at a MUTEK showcase. This impressive exposure connected Oskan to more record labels - Beretta Grey, Noah Pred's Sentient Sound, and Thoughtless Music - which subsequently released several of this singles and a widely celebrated EP.
Not surprisingly, several of the world's top dj's and producers - Funk D'Void, Los Hermanos, Chymera, James Holden, Nic Fanciulli, Hernan Cattaneo and Fabric Lig - have also taken note of Oskan's work. Alan Oldham even put Oskan's "Resolutions" EP at the top of his chart for Tresor (Berlin). In addition, Oskan's nine minute long epic "Forever" also made it's way onto John Digweed's mix CD "Transitions Vol. 4".
As one of Toronto's leading live acts, Oskan has performed alongside a slue of international artists including Aril Brikha, Alex Under and Samuel L. Sessions.
This year Oskan is slated to produce music for Beretta Music (and its sub labels: Beretta Red and Beretta Grey), and he will be remixing and performing live at events in North America, Europe and Asia.
