Ben Nott 
DJ, promoter and Spacetek Ltd.

Though originally from the uk Ben grew up in the United States which is where his passion for dance music evolved into more by becoming a Dj and club promoter, playing Chicago house, progressive house and techno at any events he was lucky enough to land a gig, which where usually scattered across the states with anywhere from 50 people to 2,000 people in attendance.

In 1996 Ben relocated to the Midwest and found they were lacking diversity in their underground scene, so he started his Xanadu branded nights. These nights where held in Clubs at first but quickly evolved into large scale warehouse house raves with up to 5,000 in attendance, with Bens attention to detail when producing events & the huge line-ups featuring djs from around the USA and Europe, they soon became legendary!

But all good things come to an end and in 2001 after living away from home for so long and the ever increasing pressure from the US government on the dance music scene, Ben decided it was time to head back to the Uk.

Since residing in the UK, Ben established mimic & Ultra+, which for the past 5 years has been based in birmingham -uk. at the Factory, The Rainbow & also club Chocolate Featuring DJs such as; Steve Lawler, Sander Klienenberg, Sasha, Danny Howells, Hernan Cataneo, M.A.N.D.Y.,Trentemoller, Dan Ghanacia & Heidi to name a few, these party's also became very successful and soon turned Ultra+ into one of the best nights in the uk by being featured on Pete Tongs BBC radio 1 show, listed in Mixmag as one of the top three nights in the land twice! And also by being invited into other well known clubs to host Ultra+ nights.


Bens dj career is also doing well, by having a long time DJ residency and playing to different crowds in other countries has helped Ben to develop a deep understanding of what works on the dance floor and has led to some great bookings..

There are so many highlights over the years but to name a few favourites: 
· 1997 950 people at a 3-day rave deep in a southern Indiana forest-USA
· 2000, x5,000 people in an old warehouse, Indianapolis-USA
· 2006 Fast forward street festival in Holland with 88,000 in attendance 
· 2007 x3,000 in the Okyo arena at Roskilde festival in Denmark, 
· 2007 Yalta club in Bulgaria 
· 2008 Excentric at the Custard Factory
· 2008 Ministry of Sound in London 
· 2009 Sankey in Manchester
· 2009 El divino- Romania
. 2010 Face at Cellar- Rainbow- Bham
. 2010 Ultra+ @ Circus in Liverpool
. 2010 The Room @ Sass in Vienna Austria

· And, without a doubt, many of the Ultra+ nights over the past years.


For 2011 Ben is hard at work with his new brand MOVE and Spacetek, producing stands for dj gear which are now found in most of the top clubs around the world, taking dj bookings when ever possible and pushing the mimic brand to new heights!
