The DJ
Born in Iran and raised in the Bay Area, Behrouz has brought world class spinning attention to San Francisco. Professionally spinning for the last fifteen years, Behrouz has grown into more than simply the resident DJ at the worldly renowned Release. Rather, Behrouz has achieved the status of creating a musical movement.
Behrouz brings a totally unique mixing style that incorporates all forms of house; from progressive to tribal, from deep to dark. He blends, contorts and flows music that matches the environment in which he plays and builds a distinctive, gradual pace that feeds off the crowd' s energy. As Behrouz puts it, a good DJ tells a story,you can do it right, or you can do it wrong. The best dance music begins with an introduction, builds a riveting plot and then crescendos with a unbelievable conclusion.”
Behrouz has spun many a story during his long-running residency at Release at club 1015, where he has been an institution since 1993. Club 1015, incidentally, was rated the Number One Club in the USA by Mixer Magazine in 1999. Largely in part to the success of Behrouz worldwide travels as an ambassador for Release, the club continues to showcase an impressive range of international DJ talent.

The Producer
Through years of spinning and exposure to music spanning four decades, Behrouz has developed into a producer to be reckoned with. Behrouz creates music from the heart and brings a passion and enthusiasm no other DJ exhibits.
During the 2002 Winter Music Conference, good friend Danny Tenaglia stopped the music and played two of Behrouz tracks. He's the bomb, Tenaglia said to the thousands of adoring fans.
