Black Motif is a Music project of producer and dj michael nieuwenhuys from Hilversum, the Netherlands. Michael started his musical career when he was around 16 years old. After years of playing vinyl, doing some local radio work and a sound engineering course, it was time to create his own music.

In 2011 he started releasing tracks under the name Black Motif. Remixes and original tracks appeared on labels in the Netherlands and abroad.

The style Michael plays has many sides, but his sounds just need that tone or melody that makes people move… The sound he likes to play is also what he likes to produce. Nice melodies, funky sounds and deep synths are the ingredients for his tracks.

At the moment Black Motif is going to release an Ep on Dutch label Cosmic Disco Records. With a remix from co-owner of Cosmic Disco Records Zweistein and 2 own track, the Funk Food EP will be released in January 2012. Working on other EP’s as well, this year will be a musical year for Black Motif and the people he work with.
