Boris Horel arrived in London in 2000 , leaving France were he studied fine arts while already Djing the week ends. He was immediately asked to start a residency at Momo's famous Kemia bar/club and then Sketch, contributing firmly to the excellent reputation of the music quality .
Since then he built a reputation for his deep late-night sets at seminal London house night "Foreign Muck" (@ the Key club) alongside international guest djs . this infamous party contributed with no doubt, alongside Secret Sundaze to change london's house music scene, with guests such as Ata , Tobias , Thomas Melchior, Ivan Smagghe … long before the later trend for international guests. Boris Horel was then part of the new generation of Djs who saw and contributed to the new Shoreditch scene, whilst helding a residency @ T Bar.. if you’d have to describe his style, Boris mixes the finest of today's underground production and "stylish" oldies, with groove and positive energy.
It is during that time that Boris Horel invited for his first UK appearance Dyed Soundorom for his party and became naturally very close fiends. In 2009 they released together an EP for Chris Carrier 's label Adult Only called "Jendayi & Zuena".
But this is Seuil who will be the first to release Boris's music on his Label Eklo with 2 EPs and a single track. First is Scarlett's stories" that includes a remix from legendary Losoul and second is "rhythm tramp " featuring this time a remix from Cabanne. The EP also includes the DC10 terrace hit back in 2012 "wild combination” Last he’s released a 12” on the Various artist Hooksey vol.2 named “Close to me”.
This is the time, Boris released a track called "is that a Yes" on Audiofly's label Supernature. Soon, more music appeared for the very promising Turquoise Blue label, Distric Raw, and the very upcoming Terence:Terry: 's label La Vie En Rose for some reworks and a full EP out in october 2013 “I wish I could Fly”
Boris horel's music is also appearing on a number of respected compilations like Steve's bug Blue&Green on Cocoon, Rexperience from Dyed Soundorom...
Boris’s sound signature reflect his love for a deeper side of electronic music and straight beats while maintaining sweetness but always keeping all elements to focus on groove and some quirkiness.
