Juan David Casas aka Cosmic JD is a producer and DJ born in Colombia but raised by the world. He has been an active artist for the underground culture in Quito, Ecuador, but he made his way north to New York, and then Toronto, where he resides now. His sound has evolved exploring genres such as deep house and downtempo, resulting into a minimalistic essence highly influenced by techno and dub. He had released material with his own label Terapia Studio, as well as with the New York Based labels Intermission LTD. and Cotopaxi Records. He has played several gigs across the contintent, from Bogota, NY, Buenos Aires and Toronto, to mention a few. In 2009 he joins ELEXTRA, the NYC based band and starts producing and performing with them. They now reside in Toronto. 

JD is the founder and co-owner of Terapia Studio, a net label that gathers different artists from the world selling digital downloads through the web. He is also the co-founder of the Hypnotic Mindscapes collective in Toronto, which organizes monthly parties and art installations with local & international artists. He is also a digital visual artist and works with live video installations for the exclusive Modern Love Affair parties in Toronto that monthly features top notch artist from all over the world.
