She is willing to make everyone dance to the best music since, according to her own words, the music she spins is what she enjoys dancing to when she goes clubbing. Chica Paula, a big name in the electronica scene in Berlin, makes a bold fusion between several music genres. She frequently performs as a DJ and is also part of the Oceanclub, the innovative musical collective from Berlin, of which Gudrun Gut and Thomas Fehlmann (the Orb) are also members. During her performances she combines fairytale-like ambient with electropop and punk. Her visits to the booths of clubs such as Ultraschall, WMF or Tresor are a good proof of her skills, as much as her implication in the "Ruta 5" compilations, from the homonymous label.

Paula Schopf aka Chica Paula is an important member of the German electronic music scene since the early '90. Fascinated by the development of what would come to be the techno culture she moved to Berlin in 1990. In 1995 Paula became part of the Ocean Club and became a resident of the Tresor for the Sunday night evets together with Dj's / producers Thomas Fehlmann, Mike Vamp and bands like the Sun Electric. Paula and her brother Dandy Jack founded the label Ruta 5. In 2003 she released a compilation of electronic music for children (Ruta 5 / Bruchstuecke) featuring artists like Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Pink Elln, Thomas Fehlmann, Dinky and many others. Paula released 2 albums of her project Chica and the Folder along with Max Loderbauer, ex member of Sun Electric.
