What is sexy minimalhouse ? Take a groovin bassline, some bass, a snaredrum and eventually a glitchy 16th for the tasty groove, the you add some excelent mixing skills from a hiphop background and you got the flavour of DJ Aroma .While playing she always adds little funky appetizers, pieces that you might have heard before, but its not just a remix - its always fresh and its always live and its always something that you haven't heard before.Its groovy, dry, funky and melodic without being cheesy.
DJane Aroma has been a part of the international DJ Circus since the ninties, serving tasty DJ Sets to enthusiastic audiences. Countries that were aromatized include Russia, Bellarussia, Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Estonia, Spain, Hungary, Poland,Portugal, England, Sweden etc. Her resident locations were always the place to be at the time e.g. munich based Ultraschall Club or the berlin based Ostgut (todays Berghain/Panoramabar).
As a producer she produces her own tracks in her studio, not asking somebody elso to do it for her like a lot of DJs do. Sometimes she does gigs as a live pa with her producer name Discopunk that is also getting more and more recognized. She played some huge festivals such as the fusion festival (4times), sommersafari or summer spirit with that.

Depending on the location DJ Aroma spins with laptop using NI`s Traktor Scratch. She loves machines from her studio work. She`s also a technichal writer and therefore always challenging herself to create new ways of using stuff.  If you think that Laptops have no right to enter clubs because they are boring nerd tools, you haven't heard or seen aroma playing on one or sometimes two....
Some of her productions were quite big, like the 1998 released intelectual anfibia on the english based haunebu label which was the number one of the italia network radio charts for weeks or a track called goofy which was charted by DJs like John Aquaviva or a remix for Joseph Armani and Jan Francisco on swedish Joya/Nero that got even recognition to the charts of Eric Prydz. She released several compilations, one full length artist album and over 26 Eps within the last decade. And , one thing she is very proud of, she was never mentioned as a female artist but as a serious producer, one thing which will hardly happen to the topless bunnies in the DJ world.
She runs a berlin based electronica label called aromamusic. Aromamusic offers a wide range of contemporary clubmusic with over 50 releases so far. Artists include Sven Wegner, Gianni Vitiello or Jacob Suske. Aromamusic is famous for being a media plattform, a theory plattform, a label and a place for parties. From conferences on the future of music (musicahead in 2004), workshops,  artist exchanges supported by goethe institute (stockholm_berlin in 2008) to minfestivals like the release of the 50th aromamusic record with gebrüder teichmann and such in nov 2008, this label combines minimal techno with a lot of influences of house and electronica. Publishing in the sense of aromamusic can be an event, the internet or even physical stuff like Cds and records or even books in the near future. Through its artistic approach aromamusic is always good for music which is ahead of the time and always surprising. 

Aroma is a DJ with an issue and a philosophy. She loves asking questions since she is a also a researcher in the field of cultural anthropology, still, she loves happy people, dancing and smiling in a crowd that becomes one. But she does not use cheap means to create this feeling. She does not take functional music, she is a real artist creating a mood, an artist who creates something aromatic, a flavoured vibe. Her audience loves this, and she loves her audience. That makes her special and sometimes she rejects offers for playing in clubs when she has the feeling it doesn't fit. Its like cooking a five star luxury dinner, you don't want to serve this delicous artwork to people who just need to eat. Her audience loves her being a tough cookie. She was voted among the best 50 inetrnational DJs by german Tendance Music Magazine. Aroma loves what she is doing and therefore gets the respect she really deserves.
