His mix cd "Shifting Gears" on Intec Records has gained him global plaudits as a truly individual DJ, able to blend many styles effortlessly into an electrifying and energetic performance. His productions have mostly appeared on his Detroit inspired Zozan Music imprint with his recent remix of Faculty X "What You've Always Known" gaining plaudits from Laurent Garnier, Slam, Stacey Pullen and many more. With two EP's in the pipeline for Intec not to mention a hectic DJ schedule he is a relentless ambassador for the label and for the music he loves.
First captivated by the early 80's rare groove movement in London he expanded his musical horizons with the likes of Gilberto Gil, Miles Davis, Ennio Morricone, Run DMC, Stevie Wonder and Cabaret Voltaire. Colin Faver's now legendary Thursday night residency at The Camden Palace was a fixture in his diary as he heard many elements being weaved together to lead up to that mind bending colossus…acid house! His first gigs came in the early 90's as he played throughout London from one-off parties to regulars such as the Choice events alongside London pioneers Trevor Fung and Colin Hudd. He then moved on to play at the Big Love Festivals (now know as Universe) as well as guest slots at the Ministry of Sound and Heaven in London, The Zap in Brighton and the legendary Ultimate Base Club.
During that time he also stepped into production, working on renowned techno tracks as Dextra (alongside Paul Coleman) on Rehab, and then on his own with the deep mellow classic "Generations", the seminal melodic "Spellbound" and the deep tech of "Tunnel Vision" all on Zozan Music.
He has played some of the worlds' finest clubs and festivals such as Impulz and Concept in Holland, Timewarp and Kraftwerk in Germany, Twilo in NYC, Spundae in San Francisco, Aurora in Croatia and Pacha and Space in Ibiza. He is now a regular fixture at Fabric in London, The Rex in Paris and Row in Barcelona to name a few. A major highlight of his career in November 2001 was a four deck showdown at the Soma v Intec event at the legendary Arches in Glasgow with Carl Cox, Stuart McMillan and Orde Miekle, a one off event that left an indelible mark on that years techno calendar.

A couple of comments on Shifting Gears:
"C1's performances manage to combine soulful, emotive elements with club sensibilities. "Shifting Gears" is a great testament to his talents"

"It's a glorious 75 minute dancefloor workout that pulls no punches, yet prefers to tease you to a higher level rather than pummel you from the word go."
