It was in the eighties that the man  who is now famous as DJ EGOIST started his professional career in the world of dance music when acid house was at its best.

His first public appearance came  in 1991. He rapidly gained professional experience playing in  bars where he got in contact with different musical performances, like funky and hip house.

In 1993 he changed his  name into  Oscar Mad and worked in several famous clubs of Catalonia.
During this period of intense work he finished  two maxi productions known as KO and Oscar Mad. He also  taped The Radical Sessions for  ARCADE MUSIC.ESPAÑA.

 As his technique is improving his art of interpretation becomes more and more stylish. Finally he gets in touch with the most modern forms of electronic music. Starting with  purest techno, he soon dominates all variations of this essential form.  From now on his name is Dj EGOIST and he is asked to act all over Spain and in several other European countries.

During this period he works at the mythical night club Rachdinge  in the Province of Gerona (1997) and collaborates with the famous discos Space (1998/99) and Privilege (2000) in Ibiza. From 1998 to 2001 he is first resident and co-director of the club Liquid Sky in Gerona. Here he shares booth with internationally famous disc jockeys like  Francesco Farba, Robert Leiner, Richie Hawtin, The Downwards, Funk D Void, etc.

During 2001  Dj EGOIST settles down in Barcelona where he plays in halls like Insomnia, Japan, Fritz, Morning 88 and Tribal Bcn. He also has a prominent roll in  the "B-Parade" in 2001 and 2002, which is something like the Berlin "Love Parade". In Barcelona more than 80 000 persons attend the event with the corresponding wide echo in the national news papers.  From 2002 to 2004 Dj EGOIST plays in  famous discos like Republica, Orange and Jungle.

Dj EGOIST  also performs with great success in several radio programmes specialized in dance music, as for example the nationwide programme "zona 3" of the National Spanish Network.

At the present time, Dj EGOIST is widely known and appreciated in Spain, but also internationally.  Sonia Briz of RNE3  calls him „one of the most promising  talents“ and the paper "Flaix FM" compares him with  disc jockeys of the prestige of John Digweed, Nick Warren or Gab Oliver. Several magazines specialized in electronic music have interviewed him, so did DJ1, Zag Zag, Dj Magazine and others.  Loko-motiva.com  ranked him  „T H E  dj of the 21st century, a  creative, progressist and breathtaking musician“.

His passionate love of music involved him in different branches like Ambient, Hip Hop, Break Beat, Electro, House, Techno and Trance.  In these days  Dj EGOIST has an enthusiastic audience in  his  Dark Breaks, progressive House and Prog deep trance sessions.

His enormous creativity  and  technical qualification for the wide range of musical expression  have made him one of  the most attractive  modern musicians: each of his sessions is unique and exceptional for his public. He takes people along in a subtle hypnotic way, leading them into a state of  euphoria.
