DJ RNS

DJ RNS aka Manotti da Vinci
Having been a music fanatic since the first time turning on the radio, this talented DJ/Producer began entertaining at the age of 15 while attending High School in Richmond, VA. Recognizing the demand for his talent after receiving invariable reverence from his peers; this foundation inspired the birth of "DJ RNS". 15 years later, DJ RNS has exceeded his own expectations as he has parlayed his deejaying hobby into an international brand.

DJ RNS' radio experience began in 1998 while deejaying for Old Dominion University's college radio station (WODU) and working on the University Special Events Planning Committee. After transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), RNS became the Promotions Assistant for Clear Channel Communications in Richmond, VA. For over 2 years, RNS was a staple in the Richmond community while maintaining his position with Clear Channel's 106.5 The Beat. In May of 2004, RNS graduated from VCU with a Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies and Planning.

In 2004, DJ RNS earned a spot on his first concert tour as audiences from abroad were introduced to RNS as the opening act for Usher's Truth Tour featuring Kanye West. As fixture in the club scene, DJ RNS has captivated crowds at some of the hottest venues on the East Coast including LOVE, FUR Nightclub, The Cotton Club, Kstreet Lounge, Club Element, The V Lounge (Charlotte, NC), Mansion (Miami, FL), Club Secrets, Velocity, Paradise Lounge, Toad's Place, Popkin Tavern, Club Aurora and the Hyperlink Café (featured on BET's College Hill Season 3).

In 2005, DJ RNS foresaw a demand for radio friendly Hip Hop and R&B music in local retail outlets. With this notion, DJ RNS created the Iregula Radio syndicated mixed CD; a promotional compilation mixed CD containing radio friendly versions of today's most current Hip-Hop and R&B. The mixed CD was distributed and marketed specifically to 2 national urban retail chains, Downtown Locker Room/DTLR (over 65 retail outlets) and Up Against the Wall (over 23 retail outlets).

In the spring of 2006, DJ RNS signed a 2 year contract with XM Satellite Radio that allowed the Iregula Radio syndicated mixed CD concept to air as a weekly radio show every Tuesday at 10 PM on XM Radio, Direct TV and AOL Radio. This incredible opportunity allowed DJ RNS to market himself to millions of listeners while strengthening the Iregula Muzik brand via IREGULA RADIO. As his fan base grew to unimaginable levels, RNS was able to enlist special guest appearances from numerous national recording artists such as: Chris Brown, Memphis Bleek (Def Jam/Roc-A-Fella), Paul Wall, P. Diddy, Jae Millz (Young Money), Rick Ross, David Banner, Talib Kweli, Yung Joc (Bad Boy South), Eve, Trina, Lloyd Banks (G-Unit), Daz Dillinger, The Clipse, DJ Khaled, Mya, Freeway (Def Jam/Roc-A-Fella), Swizz Beatz and more.

Leveraging the growing success of his Iregula Radio XM radio show, DJ RNS negotiated an advertising and marketing sponsorship agreement with DTLR to produce promotional mixed CD's for all their national retail markets including Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, North Carolina, Atlanta, and Chicago. The mix CD success was punctuated in 2007 when his 2nd promotional CD for DTLR, entitled Street Heat, was reviewed on Music Television's (MTV) Mixtape Monday as the Notable Selection of the week.

On April 30, 2010, DJ RNS' arty alter ego, Manotti da Vinci, composed a symphonic masterpiece fusing electronic dance beats and hip-hop. The wired, trippy, acidic sounds of hip-hop can not only be heard but bridge influence over the electronic music genre. "An ElektRemixed State of Mine" will enhance your musical perception after witnessing a mash-up of the hottest sounds, creating a pulsating texture that is illustrated through your speakers. The ElektRemixed State of Mine album is lead by the hit club single, "Tell Da Coppers," as featured on Audio Academy's 2010 Winter Music Conference Battle of the DJ's II. In two weeks of competition, the single allowed DJ RNS to finish in the Top 100 as a new participant amongst over 500 entrees. DJ RNS has put his stamp on the game and his vision embodies a new scene with his album's release regulating your ears on an artistic escape to disc. Be on the look out for his new Compilation MixCD dropping late November. We hope you enjoy!
