Melbourne based DJ, Producer, Re-mixer and Live Performer Danny Rodrigues, has been on the fore front of cutting edge electronic music for nearly a decade. Having been influenced by forward thinking DJ’s, Producers and the countless list of underground labels alike,this in turn has been one of the biggest influential factors in his musical journey. 

As a DJ, you can hear him spinning a variety of sounds influenced by the genres of Deep House,Tech House, and Techno. He has been a featured guest on such radio stations such as Kiss FM Australia, Proton Radio, Dance Radio Greece, Digitally Imported, and countless others.As a trained bongo player,percussionist,and key board player he’s had the opportunity to sound design sample cd’s to help other artists and producers.In the studio, Danny draws upon the use of vintage synthesizers such as the Mini-Moog, Imposcar, and Jupiter 8V to formulate the forward thinking sounds of today. 

From 2004,he began work as a Label A&R consultant.Since then he has helped guide his own label and other up and coming artists into the hands of world’s top 100 DJ’s: Hernan Cattaneo, Steve Lawler, Lee Burridge, John Digweed, Sandra Collins, Sander Kleinenberg, Oliver Moldan, D:Fuse, and Anthony Pappa. While many releases from his label have been charted in the Top 10 on the Balance Record Pool and Release Promo, several tracks have also graced the Beatport Top 10. 

Danny’s new monthly Radio Show “Simply Groovin” has become a much in demand radio show with guest mixes from many influential underground electronic artists. With the development of new technology, the show has reached thousands of electronic fans across the world. As a sound designer for producers,his sample CD’s “Rhythm and Drums” Vol. 1 and “Essential Bass”, have been receiving excellent feedback from several online/magazine media sources Resident Advisor, 365 Mag, and Future Music Magazine. In the studio, Danny is currently working on originals and re-mixes for some of the worlds top dance labels. He is also working with a variety of vocalists in other genres to help perfect their songs. While spinning and touring this year,Danny will also incorporate live bongo and conga percussion into his DJ/Live sets.
