Dj and producer from Madrid, my first production works took place around 1998 and already show the influence the Detroit-Berlin-Chicago triangle would have in my career.

From this date are the EPs produced under the names Ergot and the crawl crew for imprints like Audiodrome, Syl:Label Complex or Options in a detroit techno vein with a lot of influence of that moment's so called "tribal" hype (pupose maker and the like) and also from the Birmingham scene. With a very good international acceptance, this first productions got into international dj listings and radio programmes such as Oliber Liebs' BBC Radio one set and LPs like DEM 01 (Isoghi) under the name Backspin Boyz (a more classic approach to techno, less percussive and more melodic), shared with Xpansul and HD Substance.

The 12" When Music Was Music (Xpansoul & Daweed), published in Lele Saachi's label Soundplant was our first house release and was at the time recommended by Groove Armada, Fabrice Lig, and Shane Johnson (Fish Go Deep). Also House, but no doubt more electronic are my last works for Sindicato Records.

My works for Discos de Lata as Backspin Boys and Xpansul&Daweed go back to strict techno and move towards classic Chicago and Detroit structures based on analogue synths and a fair ammount of digital sounds, with the use of minimalism as an adjective, not just a style. This last releases have been included in Paris' club Redlight compilation (Mixed by Fafa Monteco & Terry) and charted by Jori Hulkknnen, Angel Molina, Djinxx, Miguel Mendoza, Markus Stork, Laurent Garnier,Jaimie Jones, Sam Rouanet, Leandro Gamez, Thomas Brinkmann...

In the near future I have two nice projects coming up: The second release of "Is this a label" (Matt Tolfrey) along with Xpansul, and an EP along with Xpansul & Joel Mull, in a project called "Swedish Meeting" that will be released on Discos de Lata.

As a DJ, I started my professional career in a club in Luton (London). Back in Spain I played as resident dj in Soma Experimental Club. I have also promoted clubs such as Nuyorican, a NY House oriented club in Madrid, and play regularly in gigs over the country and abroad.
