Eleftherios Kousakis, aka Elef, was born 1988 in Essen, the heart of the Ruhrarea in Germany

He was always addicted to music. While his interest for music started in early years by listening to pop and rock, his parents were attracted to house and dance music.

At the age of 12, Elef started developing an interest for electronic music and began his DJing career. Three years later, he started producing house music himself. Today, Elef is one of the new faces of house music on the global scene. With releases on Hypercolour, Weplayminimal, and Siam. He is being charted across the board by the likes of Jooris Voorn, Osunlade, and Robert Dietz.

In 2010, Elef is preparing a wide range of tech & deep house originals as well as collaborations with his friends and fellow groovers.
