Erich Bogatzky was born and raised in Berlin where he became fascinated by electronic music from its early beginnings. Inspired by the city‘s incomparable drive in the 90s he started DJing in 1995. His first public performance fascinated not only the crowd, but also Erich himself. One gig lead to the next. Word-by-mouth propoganda brought him requests to play at parties and events all over Europe, culminating in an open air event on the portuguese Algarve in 1998 which became the key event for his DJ career.

Today he counts numerous cities on his booking map: Berlin, Beirut, Moscow, London, Paris, Nicosia, Zurich, Sochi, Milan, Geneva, Lisbon, Nice, Krasnodar, Lausanne, etc., having played with artists like M.A.N.D.Y., Hell, Ewan Pearson, Patrick Chardronnet, Seuil, MyMy, Thomas Brinkmann, Jeniffer Cardini, Dinky and many more.

With his sets he proves a veritable feeling for the crowd. His own particular style offers a dynamic mixture of state-of-the-art sound and many other influences, spanning from minimal to house to techno. It is this unconstrained mixture in particular that triggers a true hands-up feeling in the clubs.

After more than ten years of Djing Erich Bogatzky founded the label minimood in 2007 with his friends volt.mar and Hubert Vroom, a minimal label featuring artists like Fusiphorm, Seuil, Koljah, So Inagawa, Mark Henning, Heib, Treplec, Daso, Gregorythme and others. The label’s debut release “Green Chocolate” by Fusiphorm was a huge success which hit clubbers at peaktime worldwide. Koljah’s “Exploding cake Remix” was charted in the tops of Troy Pierce, Sebo K, Pan-Pot, Dave DK, Italoboyz, Martin Eyerer and many more. The first release turned into a classic and instantly brought several license requests to the label including one from Ivan Smagghe.

The success continued with the second release which was licensed by Peace Division for their latest compilation on NRK. Today the label has established a large crowd of supporters including Laurent Garnier, Anthony Collins, Mathias Kaden, Dave DK, Someone Else, Remute, Satoshi Tomiie, Jeff Samuel, and many others.

With the growing the success of the label and it’s growing artists core, minimood label nights were enthusiastically celebrated in several european cities.

In 2009 his debut EP will be released on Dieb Audio.
