Frank Maurel is one of the most respected and popular artist in his native country. Either as a Dj, producer, remixer or owner of Unless Records, his active role in the portuguese dance scene is one of the most significant and important and gave him the chance to play frequently in the best clubs worldwide.


His Dj career started at club Europa where he had the privilege to play with many other artists. On his way to recognition, Frank won the DMC dj contest and then became resident of the legendary club Rock's, once known as a reference of world dance club scene. A unique experience that had him playing with the biggest djs such as Danny Tenaglia, Laurent Garnier, Deep Dish, Josh Wink, Dj Vibe, Underworld, Dj Sneak, Green Velvet, Tony Humphries, to name just a few..


It is now more than a decade that his work as a producer since the early beginning on Kaos records, Shaboom Records, Loaded/Skint, Twisted, Subliminal/Sondos, Distraekt, Tao, Inversus, or Harlem keeps on evolving until he created his very own label Unless Records. Frank Maurel has always followed the evolution of dance music and been associated to the labels and artists of the "moment".


All this hard work has been rewarded with numerous gigs in festivals such as Zurich Street Parade (Switzerland), Festa das Marés (Portugal), Dance In Douro (Portugal), Dance Festival Mazatlan (Mexico), CBT Dance Festival (Portugal), Optimus Hype (Portugal), Elektro Parade (Portugal). But also clubs such as Pacha (New York), Space & Dek23 (Miami), Case Club & Heaven Club (Brazil), Womb (Tokyo), Exit Club & Gravity (Lithuania), Kubik & City Hall & Deep (Spain), Wan-Na (Istanbul), Rex & Queen & Red Light (Paris, France), Miro Club (Italy), Mad (Switzerland). In Portugal we can name the best clubs as Rock´s, Locomia, Sound Planet, Pacha, Vespas, Vaticano, Gare Club, Kremlin, Paradise Garage, etc...
