Rafael Garnica, originally from Venezuela, discovered the life behind music stages after attending to his sister and brother's band concerts in the 80s. Drummer since mid 90s, he played with local bands until he recorded an album and toured around the caribbean country with Submarino, a perfectly known post-rock venezuelan band.
Electronic music was introduced to Garnica while experimenting with audio hardwares and softwares in university, which encouraged him to compose experimental tracks and play live in South-america events between 2000 and 2005.
Spain was the door for him to get into music biz. His production got signed in Galaktika Records and since then he has been presented as the main artist in the Catalonian label. After a great success within the tech-house scene, a bunch of EPs/remixes and dj gigs around Europe, Japan and South-america, he released his debut album ‘Cae Nieve en Caracas' in 2009, a raw and sincere long play supported by Laurent Garnier, Dave DK, Gui Boratto, Karotte among others.
Barcelona-based, Garnica is always working on new productions from his home studio and releasing new stuff every once in a while in labels like Trenton, WetYourSelf and Wazi Wazi.
