I Said No is a 10 year culmination of experience between two friends, Dan Smith and Tom Puttick who met in 2003, spending the entire summer hanging out and spinning records for friends in the sun. Vowing to one day write music together and battling 10 years of best intentions, the stars have finally aligned and they've set up studio in Wimbledon, a stone's throw from Dan's mastering studio @ Finyl Tweek.
I Said No finally began putting beat to bass after surviving the now infamous 2012 apocalypse. One late evening, after mixing down the first version of Fire Me Up (then called Cutting Up A Hologram...long story), they sent an early version to Blissy to get feedback on the mix. She was an immediate fan and the rest, as they say, is History.
