Imugem Orihasam was born in 1982 in Hokkaido, Japan. He was inspired by Hip Hop music and sounds, DJing, Scratches, Rap, some raw and smokey beats, breakdance, artworks… Got his 2 turntables, hardwear sampler and 8 tracks MTR by the age of 14, diggin’ then the vinyl and producing Hip Hop beats on a sampling style. He found many great music filtered in the sampling art as well as on the vinyl culture. Especially attracted for Jazz and sounds of Rudy Van Gelder, Soul, underground Funk music and world of 7"... His first gig took place at his home town Hokkaido when he was 18, continuing by playing Hip Hop and soulfull funky groove records on vinyl. Two years later, he produced music for a fashion show and kept on doing Hip Hop beats looking for new grooves. The time when House music, Techno and electronic music invaded his life. Imugem gets inspired by the depth of sounds that meet his peacefull atitude. He believes his music borns from love and life. This musician has been comming up with a style based on a good classic House with Dub elements, and goes in between the organic and the static. His first release came out through Imugemeranza EP, from Esperanza label in Madrid, Spain. Beside Esperanza, he also signed up with labels like Soul People Music, FRAGIL, Mixx Records, among others. Several famous artists and DJs supported his releases. Such as Kasper, Jorge Savoretti, Brothers Vibe, The Timewriter, Brendon Moeller, Anton Zap, Papol, Estroe, The Messenger, Grunbox, Djorvin Clain, Suedmilch, James Teej, Black Jazz Consortium are some of them.
