Thessaloniki native John Dimas is a well-known performer in Greece who throughout his career has dabbled with production and live performances as a DJ.

His introduction to music was in 1999; collecting records of many and various artists. His musical culture at this time included a wide range of styles: techno, acid and more specifically house music.
He built himself a strong reputation as a DJ, and more precisely for his capacity to dig out hot and exclusive tracks. As a DJ, John Dimas without question possesses an incredible talent and is undoubtedly a rising star of the French and Detroit House community.

Two decks and a homemade mixer were the 'tools' for the production of his first DJ sets. International DJ's and club owners though, soon recognized his musical and mixing talents. His unique DJ set, using 3 turntables, has also been presented on various dance floors, not only in his native country, but also abroad.

Being invited to join the highly acclaimed NON family was a key moment for Dimas and lead to performances throughout Greece, including the Reworks Festival. 2006 saw him named as resident DJ for the NON aesthetics, Polaroid and Kontakt series parties which has allowed him to spread his sound Europe wide. More recently Redbull signed Dimas up as an official DJ for this ‘Homegroove' project in Greece.

John's first foray into the production world was under his 2008 ‘Actor One' moniker. His ‘Golden Girl' and ‘Popcorn' releases were instantly snapped up by Bloop Recordings and International DJ Gigolos. Under his own name he has teamed up with Timid Boy on the ‘Two In One' EP on Time Has Changed and his latest solo effort the "Slit EP" had been picked by D'julz's Bass Culture Records.
