Katharine’s connection to the stimulating sounds of psychedelic house music comes from a life spent reveling in deliciously diverse music and witnessing the healing effect music waves have.  The last 10 years has seen her putting on house music parties and running club nights with partner DJ Ben Abrahams, in Brisbane, Melbourne, Byron Bay and now - Surfers Paradise!  Katharine has developed an impeccable ear for music, sorting out the sublime sounds from the sensational – the deep & groovin’ basslines from the most fresh and funky, all to ensure an exhilarating auditory experience. Katharine spends her time vinyl mixing within the lush surrounds of the Gold Coast's Elsewhere Bar - winner of Best Music Offering for a nightclub in Australia, and holder of the title of longest running underground house music night in Australia, with Partner Dj Ben Abrahams. You may have been lucky enough to hear one of her sets under the night sky at the outback Strange Brew parties, or at the Byron Bay Splendor in the Grass’ Phunken Teepee Circle, either way, her music inevitably translates to the dance floor with the same energetic magic.   Katharine sees music as a transformative experience, and people listening feel immense satisfaction as they let her twisted funk, organic vibrations and positive energy move them in new ways.  Katharine and Ben Abrahams’ unique perspective on the world’s freshest house music can be enjoyed at Motion Theory events, where the excitement evident on the dance floor speaks volumes!!
