Born and raised in New York, Michael LaRosa has made music a "second nature" to his lifestyle. Starting at a young age - LaRosa grew up in recording studios shadowing his father's classic rock band, 'Tusk', and teaching himself to play both percussion and guitar. These were only the stepping stones that fueled his love and passion for music.
With an ardent appreciation for all genres of music, LaRosa has come to a keen admiration for electronic dance music. Seeking to imprint himself as the extraordinarily unique artist he is, both his live performance and in-studio productions can be distinguished through his experimentation of driving techno elements, chunky house breaks, vibrant disco samples, and even hip-hop influenced versification.
LaRosa’s diverse style and broad musical intimacy has allowed him to showcase his astonishing talent in some of the most affluent venues in the United States including: Pacha (NYC); Webster Hall (NYC) Sullivan Room (NYC); Dance.Here.Now. Festival 2011 (NYC); Sunset Lounge (Mondrian Hotel, Miami); Kung Foo Lounge (Catalina Hotel, Miami).
His swift rise in the industry has led not only to being a recognized name in EDM but with corporate mogul and trendy clothing line, Armani Exchange, who hired LaRosa to be a musical representative for the company in 2010. Now, with his premier release forthcoming on the imminent record label, Not Bad Music, LaRosa's irrepressible climb up the industry's ladder seems to be relentless at this point, illustrating the immense talent and ambition he embraces along the way. Stay tuned...
