Marcello’s open approach to music made him a popular DJ at the age of 10. He always combined school and later economic studies with Djing in the weekends at numerous clubs in Holland.

His claim to fame came with the dawning of rave culture in 1990 when he started his legendary Sunday residency at the IT club in Amsterdam which he trans formed from a top 40’s oriented place to Hollands premier House/Rave club for which punters from all over the country and beyond would queue up to visit. A star was born.

It was here that he started mixing and compiling Hollands first and hugely successful club related CD series, the IT cd.

Alongside this Marcel put small town club Waakzaamheid on the international dance agenda with his Saturday residency.

All of this finally resulted in Marcello starting his own club together with former Waakzaamheid creative force Eelko Anceaux at the Amsterdam Escape club . Chemistry was born. Now Chemistry brings you a new series of cd’s. The first together with Chemistry friend and highly respected colleague Dimitri.

Marcello has been nominated for best Dutch DJ by the Dutch DMC branch three times. He won twice. Chemistry has been chosen ‘best Dutch clubnight three times.

After producing various 12 inches (including cooperations with Derrick May, Stacey Pullen and Eric Nouhan) Marcello is opening his own studio in spring 2000.
