Marcelo CIC, Brazilian from Rio de Janeiro, began his career as a dj at the age of 11.

His sound follows a very groovy line with some funky influences, together with bits of scratches and backs.

In 2005 he has reached the international market with productions on several well recognized labels of House and Techno. He has remixed Chaka Kan’s hit “I Feel for You” that made him known by Top Djs, being played at many artists sets. Marcelo had his track “Time for my Rhode” included in Carl Cox DVD, in which the Englishman tells the story of his career.

In 2006, his main presentation was at the Mayday festival in Budapest, event that opened him the doors to the international scene.

Recently, Marcelo CIC has been dedicating his time to his productions at his home studio, where he has been producing for at least six years. He works with Logic and Pro Tools softwares. He also does his presentations playing with digital system Traktor Pro and Midi Controllers.

In 2008 he had his work recognized by several specialized magazines such as: DJ Mag, DJ Sound and Mix Mag.He was awarded as  best e’music producer and nominated Revelation DJ by Cool Magazine.

Marcelo participated of both 2007 and 2008 Winter Music Conference in Miami, where he took part in discussions and played at We Love Brazil party.

Now the DJ is at a new phase of his career, producing new tracks for his album, He does special presentations together with his studio partner Leo Janeiro and VJ Vagalume at the audio and visual project named Ask 2 Quit.
