French born Marcus Vector started his career under the name Celophane as opener and touring DJ for Warp Records and Rephlex. Those labels’ experimental sounds would later influence his more club-focused techno productions, which came to fruition after meeting Sierra Sam in 2004.

Soon after teaming up, they founded their own label Toys For Boys for their output (and that of like-minded friends), and since then they have gone on to release on other respected labels including Supplement Facts, TuningSpork, Contexterrior, Dirt Crew and Time Has Changed. Their tracks have been played and charted by top names and their more house-leaning work under the name DiY (Dumb Irresponsible Youth) found its way onto Jay Haze’s Fabric mix CD and Ellen Allien’s Resident Advisor podcast. As ever, more tracks, remixes and surprising collaborations are on the way.
