Matthew Dekay

At just 32 years of age Matthew Dekay has enjoyed a successful international career spanning over a decade. Born and raised in The Netherlands and trained as a classical musician he has become one of the most prominent and influential DJ/Producers in the electronic music scene today.

Since relocating to Berlin from New York in late 2009 things have never been better for the native Dutchman. His busy touring schedule this year has already taken him to audiences in Hungary, Dubai, Bulgaria, Spain, Romania, Columbia, Argentina, Macedonia, Ukraine, Turkey and Norway with a new cutting-edge live setup to play his brand of undeniably groove driven, ass shakin' tech house to keep these clubbers across the globe dancing til the sun comes up!

Summer saw Matthew play for the first time at Space in Ibiza after many previous seasons spent behind the decks at Amnesia. Headlining party PUSH PUSH, dedicated to showcasing the latest sounds of Berlin and with top billing for new 2010 season Wednesday night party KehaKuma alongside Guy Gerber, Jamie Jones and Lee Curtiss has certainly cemented Matthew's place once again at the top of his game with his new musical direction.

After nearly a 3 year break from production Matthew is now back in the studio and working harder than ever. His new track "Wongel" a collaboration with UK legend Lee Burridge is already one of the biggest tunes of 2010 since being signed to German label Cecille Records after it's debut at this year's WMC.
And just when you thought it couldn't get any better the track has been included on the latest Cocoon compilations "Party Animals" mixed by Nick Curly &Marco Carola and "Green and Blue" mixed by Steve Bug & Chris Tietjen as well as Yousef's Circus compilation on CR2.
Wongel will be officially released on vinyl and digital download on October 27.
Matthew has also just finished up a new track "Tauben" with Montreal DJ/Producer and Stereo resident Maher Daniel with a remix by Pier Bucci which will be released on Canadian label Monique Musique in November.

This year also marks the return to A&R for Matthew as he launches his new record label Musik Boutique. The philosophy behind it is to promote and showcase music as the name suggests, specialized and exclusive.
Matthew has a strong belief that there is a gap in the market for such a label where artists can freely create the sounds of tomorrow without having to worry about current musical trends or pressure on unit sales.
