
Born in Naples (Italy) on 6 October 1977, Micky started to DJ in 1993. At fourteen years old he was already exploring the club scene in the company of his DJ friends. It was from this time that he discovered his natural ability as a DJ.
Micky bought his first decks in 1993 and started to mix using vinyl and cds - his first real dj experiences were at private parties but he was soon playing in clubs. His own style developing under the influence of disco and funky house.
In 1995 Micky had the opportunity to spend three months in New York and he used this period to expand his knowledge of dance music, listening to a wide range of new styles from all the best US DJs particularly Junior Vasquez, Francois K, Danny enaglia and Frankie Knuckles.
Having experienced a new sound he returned to Naples with a different technique and now there was a deeper feel to his music. Back in Italy he was now playing at the bigger clubs - Dinamik, Atlantide and Ennency.
In 1999 Micky decided to move to London and his style of deep funky house quickly brought him to the attention of the promoters of the prominent dance club Vertigo, Rosario Cascio and Manuela D’Alonzo. During his time as a resident DJ at Vertigo he has worked with the some of the best international DJs: Danny Rampling, Satoshi Tomie, Pete Heller, Ricky Morrison, Kenny Carpenter, Bobby and Steve, David Piccioni, Smokin’ Jo, Harvey, Cosmo, Ricky Montanari, Paul “Trouble” Anderson, Ralf, Flavio Vecchi, Lorenzo Lsp, Alex Neri, Walter S and Claudio Basile.
In London he started to become involved in music production with Luca Ricci and they soon began to work together on various projects using the name Vibe Junction. Their first track “La Dolce Vita” was quickly snapped up by the US record label Harlequin. Micky is currently working on new projects with the production outfit Sugar Shake. He is also working in conjunction with the record label Deep Dan.During his time in London Micky has played in many clubs at the forefront of the UK dance music scene:
Ministry of Sound, London Calling, Mass, Lazy Dog, Metrogroove, The Rock, Queer Nation, Bar Rumba, Turnmills and Cherry Jam.
In 2001 he started to play monthly at the prestigious new club Pacha in London. With Pacha he has played at the Storm during London fashion Week and in Ireland at the club South. During 2002 he went to Florence with the Vertigo team to play at the celebrated and long established Tenax.
Micky is currently spending a lot of his time working on the production of his own music, he has two new tracks ready for release on Tonic Records entitled “Music” and “Get Ready”.
His continuing residency at Vertigo, with it’s prestigious reputation, has brought him recognition and respect on the club scene.
