Mirus was born in Bergen, Norway in 1974 of a Norwegian mother and a Lebanese father. He started traveling at a very young age and spent long periods of time in different countries around the world. Already as a child music had a passionate impact on him. Throughout his youth and after much time with his friends in the club scene, he became greatly influenced by different music styles such as disco, funk, soul, pop and dance. Mirus left Norway at the age of 19 and moved to the U.S where he was inspired by the house scene.
