Naph was born in 1982 in Como, a small city in northern italy. He began listening to many different genres: rock, punk, metal, rap, hip-hop, until he discovered electronic music, which got him deeply fascinated.
He moved his first steps in musical production in 2001, slowly consolidating his skills over years and growing a specific interest in sound design and synthesis.
2006 proved to be a significant year which saw the beginning of Beatbank project. Founded with his friends Mattia and Carlo, this project enabled prominent artists in the minimal/techno scene to perform in Italy for the first time. This experience greatly broadened naph's mind, allowing him to take inspiration from highly regarded artists, enhancing his already strong interest in music production.
He's been working as IT consultant since 2004, and achieved a senior degree in computer engineering in 2007. This background gave him an insight on many technical aspects related to computer music. In the meanwhile he performed in many Italian parties, reaching also Switzerland and Germany. At one of those parties he met Alessio Mereu, who was one of his greatest musical inspiration and also turned into a great friendship.
2008 saw his first 12" released on Alessio's Renovatio Records, revealing his musical vision: driving minimal techno, hypnotic and dynamic at the same time, with a regard for emotions.
In the same period he got in touch with Swat Squad and submit him a demo. Few months later he's going to releases on the wellknown spanish label Pulsewith.
Furthrmore, he was selected by the newborn Milan label Greyarea for their first release, featuring two killer remixes from Alessio Mereu and Matteo Spedicati.
