Nathan Detroit kicked off his DJ career in 1999 under the moniker Natron, playing techno at clubs and parties all over the Northwest. Known for a diverse sets ranging from melodic, deep techno to funky pounding floor-fillers, Natron was quickly on the way to earning a spot as one of the top techno DJs in the region.
In 2004, Nathan took a 2-year hiatus from the scene, however, his obsessive vinyl habit never faltered. In 2007 he re-emerged from the depths of the underground, and reinvented himself as Nathan Detroit. His current sets include sounds ranging from techno to electro, funky tech-house to disco and even some 80′s and 90′s pop thrown in for good measure. Anything but a conformist, Mr. Detroit keeps his crate well stocked with a variety of dance floor destroyers that can at any moment change the vibe from techno rave to disco ALA Saturday Night Fever. He currently hosts his own night – D.R.U.M. CLUB – with Stephen Quirke, alongside residencies at both The Crown Room and Branx.
