Born on the island of Ibiza, Oscar Cano discovered at an early age what he wanted to do for a living: Be a DJ. In 1998 he began working as a DJ at private parties all over the island, and within a short time Oscar had turned his pastime into a career by playing professional gigs at various locations on the island After several years of delighting the islands clubbers with his neat and well crafted sets and demonstrating his talent at several clubs on the Spanish mainland it was in 2003 that Oscar's career changing opportunity came along: the legendary club Space-Ibiza. Oscar began to collaborate with the promoters of parties of the stature of Tonic, Matinée, We love Space Sundays and Carry on among others, demonstrating the great future that the musical scene on his native island of Ibiza offered him. Since 2004 (and now a resident DJ of Space-Ibiza) Oscar has travelled to Dubai, Brazil, England, Chile, Germany, France and Italy among others and each visit has seen him leaving behind unforgettable DJ-sets in cities like Sao Paulo, Liverpool, Brescia, Temuco, Stuttgart, Ludwigswurg, Toulouse, Bilbao, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Granada among many others... Oscar has shared top billing with practically all the best international DJs at the moment: Carl Cox, John Digweed, John Acquaviva, Jeff Mills, Tiefschwarz, Layo & Bushwaca, 2 Many Djs, Miss Kittin, James Holden, Danny Tenaglia, Tom Novy, Erick Morillo, David Guetta, Pete Tong, Bob Sinclair, Sasha and many others. Oscars preferred musical style is House in all its many different forms (from the most soulful and funky to Electro-House or the more frenetic Tech House), while not ignoring the more underground genres like Minimal or Techno. In his sets at the Sunset Terrace of Space Ibiza Oscar alternates the more dance friendly House with sets of Electro or Tribal House. He is a regular collaborator on several radio programs in Spain: - House Vibes and Ibiza Dance on Ibiza Global Radio - Club Ibiza in Sonica (Ibiza) -100 mix Ibiza - Vilasound (Ibiza) - Loca FM (Vitoria and Bilbao) - Fresh Sessions on Flaix FM (Barcelona) In 2007 Oscar created the e-Ibiza digital record label, whose first ever recording "Love & Sex" came out that same year. And in the 2008 Oscar expanded the e-Ibiza label to include two new off-shoot labels e-Ibiza cool and e-Ibiza underground. Oscar's co-production with Dario Nuñez, The Musique (2008 Beatfreak records) is currently among the top 20 most downloaded tracks on Beatport.com and Juno.com among others. Also in 2008 Oscar produced his first compilation mix of "e-Ibiza Summer 2008" along with collaborations from Darío Nuñez, Julio Navas & David Amo, Maroto Alpaca, David Pereda and Nacho Rock and many more.
