Ryan Crosson

Born and raised in Metro-Detroit, Ryan discovered electronic music in his late teenage years. After graduating from University, he slowly began to DJ and by Fall 2003 he was producing his own music. Drawing from artists like Plastikman, Matthew Dear, Stewart Walker, and a heavy dose of Magda DJ sets, Ryan focused his attention on percussive programming, dubby basslines, and dark atmospheres.  Soon noticed for his efforts by local Detroit label, Beretta Music and Cologne based Traum Schallplatten, Ryan released his debut "Say So EP " on Trapez Ltd in 2005  "Say So," was well received by international artists and jumpstarted his career.  Later that summer he would make his first European appearance by performing a Live PA's at Panorama Bar in Berlin and Sensor Club in Cologne.

Winter of 2006 would bring a pair of notable releases, one on the noted French house label Telegraph featuring the bleepy, wonky "Artists Have Bad Haircuts" title track and the second saw the emergence of Berg Nixon, an alias he chose for his Box Escape release on Richie Hawtin's Minus imprint. In addition to Box Escape, he has also produced two "25 Bitches" remixes as Nixon and contributed to the M2M compilation with "Victoria Station".  Another heavy release, again on Trapez Ltd., titled "Gotham Road" and a slew of remixes would round out Ryan's year and make him one to watch for the future.

After making the decision to pursue his music career full time, Ryan made the move to Europe in Summer of 2007 with running mates Seth Troxler and Lee Curtiss. Since that time Ryan has completed 2 solo releases for Alphahouse and Wagon Repair both due in Fall 2008. Continuing with his percussive nature, he has added more depth and emotional elements to much of his work. In addition, Troxler, Shaun Reeves and Crosson have been the driving force behind Berlin monthly residency parties at Arena Club (Jak the Box) and the now infamous "Soul Shower" nights at Club der Visionaere.
