David Teruel, a.k.a. Crisko, emerges from a new generation of avant-music enthusiasts located in the borders of Mexico with the United States, specifically Ciudad Juarez (population 1.5 million). Influenced since young age by the hip hop culture, Crisko embraced it as an important part of his lifestyle, and developed a sharp ability for graffiti and break-dance, artistic expressions that would define the path of his career. When the rave scene took by storm the Southwestern U.S, David found himself with an exciting new form of expression and started to take electronic music seriously.
It's now been 7 years since Crisko started DJ'ing. In that relatively short lapse of time he has developed a rich mixture of styles such as minimal techno and tech house, blending all sorts of eclectic music along the way. Now in day he is been producing and remixing his own tracks. His favorite recording artists include the likes of Nautilis, Murcof, Villalobos,Luciano, Swayzak, Nortec Collective and anything that comes out in magnificent German (and non-German) Labels a la Kompakt and Perlon. His constant search for the newest tendencies, wide music taste and talented mixing has proven this Graphic Design student to be the most dynamic DJ j in Juarez, one of Mexico's key cities in the still-in-diapers electronic music movement
