Water Lilly is one of the main figures representing the Swiss electro scene today. Behind the decks since 96 and producing from 99 she materializes a subtle mixture of analogue atmospheric sounds with a pumpy dancefloor feeling. This charming killer-behind the decks lady carries her records worldwide, alike her live performances grace international finest venues. The slamming electro tracks of Water Lilly leave a mark on the dancefloors they've been played at: they contain a footstomping energizing quality that many noted techno DJs are quick to realize, playlisting her records systematically. After six EP's released on Mental Groove and lately on Lasergun records, she now delivers her debut album called "Sputnika" that truly defines Lilly's world. Monster electrified techno tunes, high quality of production with a modern electro feel and a great combination of melancholic dark tunes merged with a slamming four-to-the-floor energy.
Water Lilly already made remixes for "Die Raketen", "Stefan Eicher", "Snax" (Captain Comatose) or the cult 80's French new wave band "Trisomie 21". Her tracks have been remixed by "Tomas Andersson", "Steril", "Savas Pascalidis" or "Legowelt". Her music can also be heard on mixes (James Holden "At the controls", Chloé & Yvan Smagghe "The Dysfunctional family", Tiga's DJ Kicks, Larry Tee's Electroclash) and compilations (May Day, Muller Records, Mental Groove, Lasergun, Gloss Japan, Sonic Culture, Pervert, etc.) Water Lilly has developed a powerful and uplifting dancefloor style to some extent similar to her music production that never fails to impress. Working on many different projects Water Lilly likes to collaborate with other artists and medias being for instance part of the soundratck of two movies from the French Director Xavier Giannoli, like 2006 year's Cannes official selection movie : "Quand j'étais chanteur" with Gerard Depardieu.
Water Lilly also mixed the Street Parade Underground compilation CD 2006 released on EMI. As well as the famous Swiss brand of watches TISSOT collaborated with Water Lilly for the launch of their new line for woman, the T-Touch. She recently co-produced with Love Motel the soundtrack of a new daily radio show for the main local station, the RSR, called "Impatience".
Forthcoming this Winter on Mental Groove: a CD-mix containing only unreleased tracks from international producers called "Passage secret" and an EP on Paris based label Backroom Dandy called "Roadtrip to Phoenix". Water Lilly is currently working on her next album.
