Launched in 2008 by Ron Schubert, Aurora Music has quickly advanced as a label and publisher. Aurora Releases have been charted and supported by many world class musicians and Djs. To further the label’s initiative, Aurora Radio was produced and in September 2009, broke its own record with over 17,000 downloads for the radio show episode, as well as, partnering with established radio station BPM.FM to bring listeners 24 hours of quality underground techno, tech house, and minimal music furthering the label’s ongoing pursuit to share quality electronic music will all that will listen.
Along with supporting new artists and Schubert’s original productions, Aurora has signed many well respected artists with fantastic sales on Beatport including Phunk Investigation, Mini Mode, Natalino Nunes, Oliver Nickels (Ragdoll), and has continually promoted records efficiently while charting many of the releases in techno, progressive house, minimal, and on the overall top downloads.
Future Plans:
Having hosted the first Aurora event at the Winter Music Conference this year, the company is poised to keep the brand moving with events in Paris and other locations abroad. The Northern Lights album will be released at the beginning of 2009 and new artists have signed to Aurora developing a roster of talented and passionate producers from all over the world. Furhermore, Black Swan Records was recently established to support all progressive house, electro, and a more big room sound, while Aurora will focus on techno, tech house, and deeper releases.
