Dust Science Recording is an electronic label operating deep inside their lab in South Yorkshire, Sheffield (UK). Dust Science is bringing electronic soul music back to its spiritual home of Sheffield, building on the foundations laid by its forefathers Cabaret Voltaire and The Human League. Dust Science casts nods of acknowledgement to these torch bearers via a casual wink to the techno legends located throughout the decades to the present day in the underground outposts of North America and Berlin.

Northern Electronic Soul. After years of careful behind the scenes planning, Sheffield's Dust Science collective are ready to unleash a slew of electronic excellence in 2005. As The Guardian recently proclaimed 'the death of dance music' (again) the Dust Science collective are here to prove that dance music's so-called demise and the abandonment of techno by the fashionistas is perhaps a blessing in disguise. "Because as dance music collapses the environment for the truly committed gets better and better," says their mission statement. Whilst many may have given up all hope - Dust shine a burning torch of northern electronic soul into the future.
