Sharam Jey, DJ and producer, launched his own label King Kong Records in 2002. After years releasing stuff on different kinds of labels and remix works for international acts such as Moby, he had the feeling it was time to start his own label and so King Kong Records was born. The purpose was to release ground-breaking electronic dance music. The original intention to just release his own material, from Djs for Djs, was soon amended by the idea of giving new talented artists a platform for their work.

Today talents such as the LouLou Players, Nick K, Roman Salzger and Robert M, El Carlitto & Maxim Lany and more are part of the King Kong Crew. ....
