Go Back...Level 3 Records From USA

Level 3 Records has been a proud supporter of underground electronic music and events in Southern California since 2003.  DJ Evolved, the label's first artist quickly secured a residency on the rooftop of downtown San Diego's Deco's Nightclub and shared the stage with DJ Micro, Thee-O, Steve Loria, DJ Rectangle, Beej, and Robbie and Gavin Hardkiss among others, as well as nights hosted by adult film legend Ron Jeremy.

Thadeau was added to the label to bring a darker more minimal element to the scene. His techno roots and underground vibe quickly took charge of the south of the border promotions and Club Savilla become his playground.  Together Thadeau and Evolved raged through downtown San Diego.

From there MJS Productions Management picked up DJ Evolved for his hard, funky house sound and beat breaking mixes.  This lead to a Las Vegas tour rocking Club Seven with Ollie from Warp Brothers, a Hilton Pool Pre-Party and a House of Blues Las Vegas VIP party.

After a successful run with MJS Productions the label struck out on its own and Level 3 Records continued to become a well recognized image among the San Diego party and club scene.  A new residency at Club Numbers with some side gigs at the Flame gave the Level 3 crew a chance to try out new tracks over an active dance floor.

DJ Thoth was added to the label and brought a softer, more organic sound that flowed into a unique production style that has been dubbed by some as "a modern day Chopin."  Level 3 Records released his first solo original album "The Start of the Seed" which was warmly received by dance music fans and electronica aficionados alike.

The label took a brief hiatus while DJ Evolved was building a parallel universe; www.EvolvedHomes.com.  While reaching the heights of a successful real estate career, DJ Evolved felt the urgent need to get back into music and thus the "Sells Houses by Day, Spins House by Night" album was born featuring original tracks: The DJ Evolved Intro, Chariot Remix and Astral Journey.

Then around 2007 Level 3 Records launched a 2,000 CD promo release of DJ Evolved's "Funkytown double-up" in Los Angeles and in the midwest and the feedback inspired the resurgence of the event side of Level 3 Records.  Parties like the Basslab series were held at venues that included the legendary Club Montage, which then became Spin, and later the Luna Lounge featuring San Diego hero Jon Bishop.

Thoth became the right hand man for managing the growing list of Level 3 sponsored events which then included Earthday and Earthdance in 2008.

The Level 3 Records team had picked up Stephanie as a promotions manager and had her and her team distribute hundreds of the WMC CD Sampler and promotional goodies (Winter Music Conference Sampler) to party people people from around the world at the annual Florida event.

Thadeau released his "Thadeau Sounds Like Playdough" mix through Level 3 and all hell broke loose.  TAZ Radio (Temporary Autonomous Zone Radio) was launched every Wednesday night on www.InSoulWeTrust.com with local and national guest DJ's and was syndicated on CDs monthly.

Distribution of some the more popular releases hit the bootleg industry in Jamaica resulting not in more sales for the label, but some island exposure among the locals and even some tourists from the the UK.

After a two and a half year run with Club Numbers and various other events Level 3 Records decided it was time to once again focus on production and teamed up with www.theInfusionProject.com to carry out the event side of things.

Now, in 2010, Sudonim has been added to the label bring a glitchier and more visually stimulating vision into the mix, with a new release LUCKY CD! put out by Level 3 Records just in time to launch at DJ Evolved's live performance at the Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. The new album is a mix of all Level 3 artists (DJ Thoth, Thadeau, DJ Evolved, Sudonim) and includes another new artist to the label, DJ Schugar of the Infusion Project.

And that brings us to present day.  Currently, DJ Thoth is growing his sound and the Level 3 vibe in the San Louis Obispo area, while Sudonim and Adam Arlia are exploding their new Bushwick Project now out on Level 3 Records.  Thadeau is simplifying his life and getting ready to release his last year's worth of production while DJ Evolved is focused on his producing his live show.

The music isn't confined to one genre but evolves over time and with the changes of each artist.
