Plan B Recordings is run by two NYC DJ/producers: DJ Spider and Lola. The two met working on the party DEEP SEE together, and decided to start producing music together, merging their interests of music, DJ culture, sound design, and emerging technology.

The first Plan B releases were mostly by DJ Spider or DJ Spider & Lola working collaboratively, but has expanded to include new artists, including the producer Vitreous from Amsterdam, who has released two EPs on Plan B. Plan B will continue working with new producers as well as discovering new talent in NYC and other cities, and will always be the home base for productions by DJ Spider and Lola.

Plan B Recordings releases a variety of music. Mostly house and techno, but also ambient, noise, dark ambient, and experimental electronic. All Plan B releases maintain an interest in sound design and experimental sounds; some Plan B tracks have included sounds like radio transmissions, coffee pots, and slaughterhouses.

Plan B has its roots in NYC's deep house and techno scenes, as well as DJ Spider's background in the noise and metal scenes, and Lola's appreciation for DJ culture, earned during many years working as a music journalist.
