Superfly Records was founded in 1995 by Andry Nalin and Harry Kane. After publishing with various record companies in the years from 1993 to 1995, they set out to launch their project Nalin & Kane. Therefore the next stage, their own label, followed soon. Already the catalogue number 10.005 helped Superfly Records attain international breakthrough. With strong support from internationally renowned DJs, the December 1999 single “Beachball” rushed within one year to the top ten of sales charts worldwide. They used the attention gained to help other artists establish a strong presence in the international music business. During the following years, among others Van Bellen, Phil Fuldner, Moguai, Bush II Bush, Copa Move or DJ Gordon celebrated great successes on Superfly Records. Some of them started their career there. The vinyl-publications of milestones of musical history such as Frankie Goes To Hollywood: "Welcome To The Pleasuredome" or Jam & Spoon: "Stella" in the Nalin & Kane Remix underlined the label’s cult status. Thus, the remix duo had been catapulted to the top of the electronic producers’ community by 2001. When electronic house flooded the club scene with callow ghost writers’ productions, they felt reluctant to float with the current – as a result, the label was closed in 2006. The team used this creative break to win new energy and rediscover their urge for innovation. Therefore in the summer of 2009, SR reorganised with a new team. For the autumn and winter season, they will relaunch the label first with a digital Classic-Compilation. There will be new publications in due course!
