minimood was founded in 2007 by volt.mar, Erich Bogatzky and Hubert Vroom and features artists like Fusiphorm, Seuil, Koljah, So Inagawa, Mark Henning, Heib, Treplec, Daso, Gregorythme and others. The label’s debut release “Green Chocolate” by Fusiphorm was a huge success which hit clubbers at peaktime worldwide. Koljah’s “Exploding cake Remix” was charted in the tops of Troy Pierce, Sebo K, Pan-Pot, Dave DK, Italoboyz and many more. The first release turned into a classic and instantly brought several license requests to the label including one from Ivan Smagghe.

The success continued with the second release which was licensed by Peace Division for their latest compilation on NRK. Today the label has established a large crowd of supporters including Laurent Garnier, Anthony Collins, Mathias Kaden, Dave DK, Someone Else, Remute, Satoshi Tomiie, Jeff Samuel, and many others.

In 2009 the sublabel minimood extra was launched with a huge track by Moscow's Dmitry Karpov and a much acclaimed remix by Daso.

With the growing the success of the label and it’s growing artists core, minimood label nights were enthusiastically celebrated across Europe and in Japan.
