Ibiza Voice are delighted to welcome one of our favourite DJ's to the podcast series - Tobi Neumann.

Munich-born but, since 2001, a resident of Berlin, Tobi is undoubtedly one of the most loved acts on the European circuit after many years being part of the iconic Cocoon family. Ahead of his appearance at the Nick Curly presents Trust party at off-week Barcelona, we were delighted to grab an exclusive mix and 5 minutes of Tobi's time..

Ibiza Voice - Thanks for joining the podcast fold Tobi - where are you and what are you up to?

Tobi Neumann - Hello Joe, I am about to depart to Tel Aviv. Holidays in holy Israel with my family after months of hard studio and DJ-work.

IV - You don't often commit your sets to a recorded mix - what are the special ingredients of this mix?

TN - It's a part of my 5 hour set from last Thursday at Club der Visionäre Berlin which I chose for this podcast. I prefer to take parts of sets which I played for a crowd than standing alone in a studio and mix for myself.

IV - Is it full of exclusives or your own remixes?

TN - Just my recent choice of music plus a hidden new track from myself which I wanted to test in da club.

IV - What has your relationship with Ibiza been like over the years? And how does it stand up in comparison to Berlin clubs for example?

TN - I stopped comparing cities or countries, as I think it is a waste of time to think about the differences. I prefer enjoying places for their unique characters, for their originality.

I love Ibiza since about 20 years. Of course it changed but it is still one of the hot spots for the current club music and culture. They just shouldn't be so greedy over there, that disgusts me.

IV - What has been your greatest experience of clubbing? If you had to choose one club to recommend, or even to play at, what would it be?

TN - To many to mention one. Ibiza is of course part of that as well as London, Paris or Berlin. But hey, the best party is the one where you are surrounded by your friends and have love and fun and good music.

IV - Finally, what's coming up from you in the near future?

TN - We are about to finish the third release on our label WHAT..?, I made a couple of remixes as the one for Martin Eyerer 'Levels' and Sascha Dive‘s track 'Thunderstorm' plus a techno tune called "Chu" on Pan Pot‘s imprint Second State.
