“I’ve been doing premiere shows, and will be taking the DVJ-X1 on the road with me when I start my global tour this September. It just creates an excellent tool for use on the dancefloor. People definitely know something special is going on!” Sander Kleinenberg (Ibiza-Voice)
Every once in a while DJ equipment manufacturers create something that has the ability to take the art of DJing to a completely higher level… I believe that the DVJ-X1 is one of those machines. Having the ability to affect what people will see, while listening to dance music could have enormous possibilities…” Jeff Mills (Ibiza-Voice)
Taking mixing to another dimension following the launch of the new Pioneer Pro DJ DVJ-X1 unit in March 2004 at the Musikmesse Show in Germany, the forward-thinking Pioneer Pro DJ team have joined forces with Space, Ibiza and the UK’s DJ Magazine to seriously stimulate our senses with a dramatically different club experience taking place on Sunday 3rd October.
Advancing upon the freedom of expression their CDJs provided; Pioneer Pro DJ’s thrilling DVJ-X1 unit allows DJs to play DVDs of tracks, for which they have prepared suitable visuals, and to affect them spontaneously in real time. Blurring the boundaries between audio and visual art forms within one unit, this innovative technology is set to enhance the existing experience of club goers worldwide.
Pioneer Pro DJ’s groundbreakers include: Sander Kleinenberg, James Zabiela, Jeff Mills and Dan Tait.
DJ Dan Tait, has worked closely with the Pioneer Pro DJ product development team for the past two years, and is also a graphic designer by day. He therefore has the skills to make a genuine audio-visual impact with this evolving technology. As such Dan will play 90 minutes of tracks, accompanied by visuals, from the DVJ machine. This unique event is thought to be the first ever set played entirely using DVJ’s, and will feature content exclusively created by Tait and other artists. Dan will be playing inside the discoteca at the Space Closing Party, alongside countless world-class DJs such as: John Digweed, Erick Morillo and Carl Cox.
The art of DJing is forever in a state of flux. We are currently living in the most exciting times technology wise. So enjoy a textured taste of tomorrow with Pioneer Pro DJ and DJ Magazine, combining creativity at that special place in Ibiza called Space on Sunday 3rd October.More info on the Pioneer DVJ-X1
