We touch base at Blue Marlin Tuesday 3 Oct at 7h30am, felt good to see the parking packed with sexy clubbers, ravers & fashionistas from all nationalities, waiting for 8am as the doors open.
Cala Jundal is by far the most beautiful bay in the south of the island. Crystal clear water, a bright and shiny sky and the natural surrounding of rough rocks gives the place a magical atmosphere. For this`special´the venue was entirely decorated a la Nikki Beach, the Dj booth is facing the sea, there's a VIP set up with beds, armchairs and mega large pillows, there on the sand…
Dan(Ghenacia) took the lead in the inside room, Freak n´Chic label boss soon packed the place with its usual flavor of sound you just can´t really tag, at 9am the inside room was full, Ghenacia is an after hour surgeon… hands and cheers were all over the show. 11am came fast… Sun is shining and it’s time for Tania Vulcano to open up the beach side of things for a highly anticipated 5 hours set. The audience was surrounding the Dj Booth with a respectful nod, charmed by Tania’s unique look and groovy attitude. As she built her set, the atmosphere intensified, something spiritual was in the air, palpable… you could feel how delightful it was for the Uruguayan goddess, to drive us deep in her very own musical labyrinth.
By 5pm the place was filled to the brim, and Luciano took control of our brains.
The Chilean born lined himself up a big summer, ina relatively short period he became one of the most talked about talent; his innovative sound and residencies at Cocoon & Circoloco have certainly helped a lot. And, given the hype, he reached expectations... His eclectic mix of house, jazzy and twisted minimal influence matched perfect with the ambient vibe. And by 9pm we were completely lost in a sea of people rising to the sound of the ever-captivating Mr. Luciano.
But the dream came to an end… It’s been a journey that’s taken us far away from the formatted parties... we just need more of this.
Huge thanks to Yela, Mathias, Nico, Joe, Luciano, Tania, Dan an all of you who attended. See you next year same place, same time for the openings…
