RE-INCARNATED IN ITALY - Rock Stars get Amnesia on Friday nightAdvertisment
Where else are you going to get Jim Morrison, a chick from a Robert Palmer video, and free money? Founder of and spokesman for Ibiza’s longest running production, Made In Italy, Rosanno Lucidi met us in Jesus (the town) a couple of hours ago.
How’s this year going so far?
In Amnesia we stay very good and the people from Amnesia is very hot with us, very friendly, and we want stay long in Amnesia.

What happened with Pacha, why are you no longer there?
For change the history. Pacha was very good for the music, but we want do more show on the party and we need more space. I start the party Made in Italy in 1995 in Pacha. Me and Alessandro Gaeta.
Are you pleased with the media coverage you’ve received in DJ mag etc so far?
We are very happy. This is I think a special time for us, because the English people are interested in us, the Italians too. For the Italian people is good stay in collaboration with the English people.
Why is the name of the night in English?
Because we stay in Spain and in Ibiza all the people from all the world know “Made In Italy”. We come from Italy and we live here and that’s it.
Where you from?
A small village called Foligno.
How long have you been coming here?
Twelve years, in 1991, for a holiday. The year after I start to work on the port to do some public relation, for Volk Bar.
Why did you start with the rock stars theme?
Because it is the 30 anniversary of the Rolling Stones [alive, kicking and still touring] and the 25 anniversary of Elvis Presley[‘s death]. In the Italian style it is the new mode, rock, punk, 80s rock, and we think maybe it is the year of the rock in 2003.
What is your association with the Miami Winter Music conference?
We was there for 2000, 2001, 2002, but this year was impossible because we change the club from Pacha to Amnesia, and we rent a disco in Formentera, a new club, and a lot of work, and to go to Miami is very difficult. For the next year there is a project for Miami.
Who is Subsonica? Are they really big in Italy?
Subsonica is not confirmed for the 15 of August. Is a big concert in Italy, is a house rock music. Is the best, but Subsonica have a problem with confirm the dates. On the 15 is coming the best dj from Italy and we make parade together with DJ Magazine.
What about your djs? How big are they?
Is like rock star, these djs. Coccoluto for the people is like rock star.[center]
